Semi Free Range Chickens

Most of the barns haven't really been used for years. We're working hard to get things cleaned up and ready for more animals and for visitors.

The chickens are in the old milk house. The cinder block walls provide safety from local wild animals (and the cat) that are predators. Unfortunately, we've lost a few over the years but they seem to be secure now.

S helped grandpa put up an old snow fence so the chickens could get outdoors a bit.

Hammering is loud!

They love being outside.

They really love when the cousins come over and throw bread over the fence. The cousins love it too.

Meet Our Animals

Our cow is a miniature dexter/jersey mix.

We currently have 12 hens and a rooster. When the new hens start laying, we will have farm fresh eggs for sale.
