The chickens are in the old milk house. The cinder block walls provide safety from local wild animals (and the cat) that are predators. Unfortunately, we've lost a few over the years but they seem to be secure now.
My parents have been living on this small farm for about 10 years. My dad has been raising pigs, chickens, and cows on a small scale for the last few years to provide meat and eggs for the family and some friends. We are now looking to expand. We want to provide farm fresh eggs and local meat to those in the area. We also want to move to a petting zoo experience that provides a hands-on farm experience to children and employment for those with disabilities.
